As a property company, Icade is first and foremost a long-term investor, with a diverse portfolio of buildings: offices, tertiary parks, shopping centres, health facilities, and housing.
Icade owns and is developing a tertiary park to the north of Paris. It extends over more than 76 hectares, including 474,775m² of rentable property (business premises, warehouses, etc.). It owns, among others, three shopping centres (in Aubervilliers, Montpellier and Toulouse), a building rented to the ministry of the interior in Levallois-Perret and several clinics. It also holds a 95% capital stake in the "Monsieur Bricolage" DIY chain.
A developer by vocation, Icade is also a dynamic market player and opinion leader, able do draw up made-to-measure solutions.
Icade is one of the leading property developers in France, across all sectors: housing, tertiary, public or private facilities, administrative, cultural, sports and health establishments. It undertakes made-to-meaure projects (often as part of PPP) for the State and local government and private actors and investors. Its credo: "help local authorities and public institutions to transform their ideas into projects and their projects into accomplishments".
The sustainable development label
Beginning in 2009, Icade will gradually be bringing in a simple and transparent mutli-criterion (carbon, health, energy, transport, etc.) sustainable development labelling system for its buildings (new and in-use). This labelling system, developed with the support of independent stakeholders, will be a source of progress because it will allow Icade to display the changing quality of its schemes.
Sustainable development: a priority.
In 2008, Icade confirmed its commitment to sustainable development: by creating sustainable real estate products. The rolling-out of HQE® (high environmental quality) certification to tertiary development, the increasing proportion of renewable energy sources in the housing stock and the drawing-up of a Bilan Carbone® (carbon assessment) for 2007 across all its businesses are just a few examples of this approach.
