Caisse des Dépôts organises an annual forum designed to promote dialogue between decision-makers in the political and social protection fields, researchers, economists, journalists, managers and union leaders. In the last 16 years it has become the unmissable event for hundreds of figures from the pensions world. A great many experts make a contribution to it.
More than 190 years of expertise
When it was established in 1816, Caisse des Dépôts was awarded the first public retirement pension systems. Nearly two centuries later, it manages, in partnership with 75,000 employers, no fewer than 48 schemes with more than 7 million contributors and nearly 3.3 million pensioners. In addition to pensions, it also provides professional risk prevention and compensation schemes, helps to find employment for handicapped people and keep them in work, and manages funds compensating public sector employers for expenses.
It controls the whole of the following processes:
- administrative management (of the recovery of contributions and contributions to fee payments);
- the legal, technical and financial management of schemes;
- relationships with the beneficiaries of schemes.
In the area of retirement pensions, it applies its expertise to the management of basic, complementary and supplementary schemes. It controls entitlement techniques based on both points and years of pensionable service.
