The main funds managed (from the CDC annual report)

Four main retirement pension schemes for permanent contracted employees of the three civil service bodies and public sector manual workers:

  • CNRACL, retirement fund for permanent employees of local authorities and hospital institutions, has 2,052,300 contributors and 967,300 pensioners;
  • IRCANTEC, complementary retirement pension institution for contracted employees of the three civil service bodies - State, local authorities and hospitals - and local elected representatives, has 2,748,000 contributors and 1,821,000 pensioners;
  • RAFP, supplementary civil service pension scheme for civil servants in the three main civil service bodies, has 4,700,000 contributors. 110,000 settlements have given rise to the payment of a benefit;
  • FSPOEIE, special pension fund for State manual workers, has 47,100 active workers and 105,600 pensioners.

The Retraite des mines, which has 7,000 contributors and 338,700 pensioners;

A fund under the remit of national solidarity: ASPA (solidarity payment for the elderly) for some categories of particularly poor beneficiaries.

Supplementary pension schemes for specific socio-professional categories:

  • FONPEL (the pension fund for local elected representatives);
  • the supplementary pension schemes of ANPE, the Compagnie générale maritime (CGM) and the national office for water and aquatic environments (ONEMA).

The fund for the employment of the disabled in the civil service (FIPHFP).

The funds offsetting the expenses paid by local authorities and public institutions, such as the Fonds pour l’Emploi Hospitalier (Fund for hospital employment) and the family supplement compensation fund.

Category-specific pension plans for some populations with status (tobacconists, under State control bodies).
