On 3 March, the Group SNI and the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced a new €500mn financing granted by the EIB to the 2nd fund for intermediary housing managed by Ampere Management, a subsidiary of the Group SNI. This financing also benefits from the support of the European fund for strategic investments (EFSI), a central element of the Investment plan for Europe or the Juncker Plan. It will allow the SNI Group to build 13,000 intermediate homes in areas with a housing shortage by 2019 in France.
With rents 15 to 20% lower than the market price, and meeting the latest standards in terms of energy performance, this new rental offer will provide a sustainable response to the middle classes who have had difficulty accessing housing in the private sector. This operation could create 16,900 jobs in the construction industry.

The announcement was made on one of the first sites benefiting from this European financing: The Made in Méditerranée residence, located in the heart of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, which will include 31 intermediate homes.

The SNI group set itself the target of building 35,000 new intermediate homes over the next five years.
