Supporting universities
The group supports French universities in their modernisation. It is a stakeholder, alongside local authorities, in the Campus plan launched by the State.

Since 2007, Caisse des Dépôts has been carrying out assessments of all university sites wishing to be assessed. It has met University Presidents, called upon their services and defined areas in which it could operate:
- Engineering and setting up projects within the context of site rehabilitation work sites,
- Financial expertise with regard to social policy, grant acquisition, patent valorisation, etc.
- Making skills available,
- Mobilizing group operators in favour of student housing.
- Optimising the use of new technology thanks to the opening of cyber bases on the sites.
An effective strategy
On the national level, a partnership has been established with University Presidents coming together for the University Presidents Conference (CPU). Establishment managers and Caisse des Dépôts specialists worked together on 8 major themes (see box).
On the ground, the regional managers met 85 out of the 110 university or higher education establishment managers. Moreover, around twenty Campus plan candidate sites benefited from its assistance in putting together their statements of intent.
