Key dates

2009.
The 'Reading' programme is being deployed in 240 French towns in the context of an emblematic partnership with the Association for the Promotion of Equal Rights at School (apfEE). Initiated along with the Students for the Town Foundation Association (AFEV), a new project, designed to eventually cover the whole of the French territory, has been set up for children in the last year of nursery school in the Île-de-France. To facilitate sponsorship programme transparency, the two axes of the 'Young Creation' project are included within the urban solidarity programme: contemporary music within the music programme and urban dance within the urban solidarity programme.

2007.
Following an audit in 2006 on sponsorship values, content and governance, the sponsorship policy was re-evaluated and its axes and procedures clarified. It capitalises upon work carried out for the last 15 years in two main areas: urban solidarity and classical music. The young creation axis is, from now on, being organised around the urban dance and contemporary music programmes. Caisse des Dépôts is also strengthening its sponsorship of neighbourhoods in difficulty, with an additional budget being given over to a Reading programme.

2006.
Donation of Caisse des Dépôts' collected funds. The majority of contemporary art works are being given to the Museum of Modern Art in Saint-Etienne, as well as to regional contemporary art funds (FRAC). The collection of photographic works are being given to the Pompidou Centre who, to celebrate this first donation from an institution, is organising a large exhibition: "Painters and Modern Life".

2005.
Persuing commitment from young audiences through musical awareness workshops at the "Chorégies d’Orange" and "Festival de La Chaise-Dieu". Supporting the Île-de-France National Orchestra (ONDIF)'s initiatives to raise awareness, along with the Île-de-France local authorities.

2003 and 2004.
Re-centring support for contemporary creation around productions in large French museums (Orsay and Louvre).

2002.
Closure of the "13 quai Voltaire" gallery and new production partnership with the Palais de Tokyo. Co production of the Daniel Buren exhibition at the Pompidou Centre.

2001.
Launching of "tourism and solidarity" trips to accompany the international solidarity programme.

2000.
A new rise in decentralised sponsorship is being experienced through a tripling of regional budgets.

1999.
Start of the "sustainable development" approach at CDC; The Hôtel de Pomereu enters the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) programme. Admical grants a tribute award for Caisse des Dépôts' work over the last ten years. Enlarging of the skills sponsorship initiative through the setting up of solidarity holidays allowing Caisse des Dépôts' employees to make their services available to associations.

1998.
The Campus music programme is coming together.

1997.
Start of support for urban culture meetings in La Villette. The Galion Dance Centre in Aulnay-sous-Bois, the first time a venue dedicated to the practice of hip hop dance is being supported.

1996.
The solidarity sponsorship award is granted to a programme for neighbourhood cultural initiatives. Start of the skills sponsorship approach associating Caisse des Dépôts employees with charity work through one-off involvement initiatives. Launching of educational concerts at the Champs-Élysées Theatre.

1995.
Deposit and presentation of part of the contemporary art collection at the Museum of Saint-Etienne. Launching of art work production grants.

1993.
Start of circulation of the collections in several countries. First initiative giving sponsorship support to a hip hop dance company "Accrorap" (Kader Attou et Mourad Merzouki) for their production "Athina".

1992.
Start of musical education programme (campus concerts) and the neighbourhood cultural action programme

1991.
Launch of the photographic collection.

1990.
Launch of the contemporary art collection and support for contemporary dance.

1987.
Start of sponsorship decentralisation. Inauguration of the renovated Champs-Élysées Theatre (TCE). Inauguration of the Carte Blanche gallery in Quai Voltaire, Paris.

1986.
Renovation of the Champs-Élysées Theatre (TCE).

1984.
First grant to the Champs-Élysées Theatre (TCE).

1983.
Creation of Caisse des Dépôts' sponsorship through a programme dedicated to local initiatives and charity work.
