The extent and diversity of its missions have, since its creation, confirmed Caisse des Dépôts as a key figure of France's economic and financial life.
Conscious of its rich heritage, Caisse des Dépôts has opened up an archives department since 1986. The objective: to facilitate researchers' access.
The historical archives
Caisse des Dépôts' historical archives have been constantly enhanced for almost two centuries, and total today 4 linear kilometres of documents.
They are made up of managing executives' political and strategic files, minutes from the supervisory board, annual reports, personnel files, circulars, etc.
These archives provide precise sources concerning Caisse des Dépôts' history:
