Appui PME: bringing businesses and investors
Caisse des Dépôts and OSEO have established strategic Appui PME platforms in every region to put those companies that would like to use the service in touch with regional and national equity investors, and with local institutional and financial players.
- In the first half of 2009 they are holding the Appui PME Forums, a series of regional information and strategy conferences in all of France's regions;
- A local-rate Numéro Azur 08 10 00 12 10 for OSEO, Caisse des Dépôts, the Strategic Investment Fund (FSI) and the Médiateur du crédit;
- A website www.appuipme.fr to simplify and guide online searches for the investment fund suited to the profile of the SME.

FSI Strategic Investment Fund (FSI)
A subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts, the FSI invests equity capital in French companies which propose projects which add value and competition to the economy. FSI intervenes as a minority shareholder, through involvement on its own or as a joint investor.
CDC Entreprises
CDC Entreprises is responsible for the Group's capital investment activities This subsidiary's mission is to develop the different sectors of this market in France. The aim: to promote equity capital financing of growing French SMEs in the technological sector or in traditional industry which create value and jobs.
CDC Capital investissement
CDC Capital Investissement, a subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts, manages mutual investment funds (FCPR - fonds commun de placement à risque) worth over €1.6bn. Caisse des Dépôts, CNP Assurances and the Caisse d’Epargne group are its main financial partners.
Very small companies
Caisse des Dépôts helps to put together and consolidate equity capital in very small companies (fewer than 20 employees) in start-up or transfer, thus making it easier for them to access bank credit. It supports associations which provide interest-free loans. It also manages the Social Cohesion Fund.
