Caisse des Dépôts is regulated by the monetary and financial code (Art. L 518-2) which sets out its role:
"La Caisse des dépôts et consignations and its subsidiaries are a public group serving the general interest and the economic development of the country. The Group fulfils general interest roles in support of public policies implemented by the State and local authorities and can engage in competitive activities."

Appui PME: bringing businesses and investors together

 

 

Caisse des Dépôts and OSEO have established strategic Appui PME platforms in every region to put those companies that would like to use the service in touch with regional and national equity investors, and with local institutional and financial players.

  • In the first half of 2009 they are holding the Appui PME Forums, a series of regional information and strategy conferences in all of France's regions;
  • A local-rate Numéro Azur 08 10 00 12 10 for OSEO, Caisse des Dépôts, the Strategic Investment Fund (FSI) and the Médiateur du crédit;
  • A website www.appuipme.fr to simplify and guide online searches for the investment fund suited to the profile of the SME.

An "SA" limited company in which Caisse des Dépôts has a 51% share, with the State holding 49%, the Strategic Investment Fund (FSI) contributes through equity capital to French businesses whose projects create value and competitiveness for the economy. FSI intervenes as a minority shareholder, through involvement on its own or as a joint investor
