Analyzing the European Union CO2 emissions trading scheme (EU ETS):
A monthly newsletter, Tendances Carbone, published in partnership with Powernext Carbon and Météo France;
The Tendances Carbone Club, whose members from the institutional, financial and industrial sectors of the EU ETS market seek to share their analyses of the emissions market;
A research program focused on ex-post assessment of the European allowances market, in partnership with the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEPR) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Policy at the University College Dublin (UCD) and the Université Paris-Dauphine. Developing new financial tools to combat climate change:
At the request of the French public authorities, research and proposals to lay the groundwork for a system of “Domestic Offset Projects”;
Analysis of the “carbon neutrality” market and proposals for voluntary offset procedures;
Research on the possibility of linking carbon financing to private equity.
Following international developments in carbon finance:
Monitoring investment funds and developing new markets around the world;
Contributing to EU working groups focused on the future of the EU ETS;
Exchange with foreign researchers, including those at MIT and the University College of Dublin.
Analysis of the link between adaptation and infrastructures:
Launch of an international research program on how to finance adaptation and infrastructure projects limit the impacts of climate change.
