The loan amounts to €3mn over a 30-year term, or 62% of the total cost of the works. At the end of the construction project, the energy performance gain should be greater than 50% compared to the existing performance. The works will allow the building to move from a D to a B energy rating and reach climate rating A.
The GPI AmBRE loan was launched by Banque des Territoires in the context of the Big investment plan initiated by the French government. Savings fund loans of €2bn will be mobilised over the 2018-2022 period. The aim is to finance investment expenses encouraging energy retrofitting of public buildings. The GPI AmBRE loan can be mobilised over a 20 to 40year term to finance up to 100% of the thermal renovation projects, with a borrowing maximum of up to €5mn.
