Est Ensemble: building together Eastern Paris with the support of the PIA

On 3 June, Régis Pélissier, the Caisse des Dépôts Ile-de-France Regional Manager, Jean-François Carenco, the Prefect of the Region, the Prefect of Paris, and Gérard Cosme, the President of Est Ensemble, signed an agreement in the framework of the action City of Tomorrow of the Program of Investments for the future (PIA), managed by Caisse des Dépôts for the State.

Est Ensemble has received grants of €933,000 provided by Caisse des Dépôts, which is the operator of the PIA’s (Programme of Investments for the Future) City of Tomorrow programme, to finance projects in Plaine de l’Ourcq:

  • €800,000 for developing public areas through Séquano Aménagement;
  • €133,000 for supporting an agricultural operation on the roof of a residential building, as well as four projects relating to temporary occupation of wasteland (Superstock, by the Bellastock association and Requincaillerie in Bobigny, Ville en Mouvement (City in Movement) by the Méliades company in Bondy, Ferme Urbaine du Paysan Urbain (Urban Landworker’s Urban Farm) in Romainville, and Corps du Canal  by D’Days association).

Caisse des Dépôts is a long-lasting partner of territories. It is taking part in the project to develop public areas in Plaine de l’Ourcq to provide land security whilst providing inhabitants with the benefits of cultural services and open spaces.
