The shared resources and skills platform will serve key sectors of industry in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region: aeronautics, energy, shipbuilding, biomedicine, etc. By bringing together SMEs, major industrial groups and academic partners, Inovsys will nurture the development of new processes and products, improve manufacturing and maintenance techniques and pave the way for new technologies.
High-speed machining, additive manufacturing, rapid casting, non-destructive testing, digital simulation... every aspect of mechanical engineering is concerned. Inovsys has the latest technology at its fingertips, and is also planning to invest close on €3mn over the next few years; its sales target for 2019 is €6mn.
The Programme of Investments for the Future (PIA) will make Inovsys a grant of €2.5mn and a capital allocation of €840,000, through Caisse des Dépôts, operator for the PIA on this initiative.
Access to the platform will be open not only to the founding firms, but also to SMEs across the sector, enabling them to take advantage of the services and R&D on offer to develop their own new ideas. Inovsys thus meshes perfectly with the aims of the Henri Fabre project, a major regional economic development project, in the field of "Engineering, materials and processes of the future".
