Property & housingMedical-social sector and solidarity

Certified Ville amie des aînés (Age friendly cities), the city of Bordeaux, in addition to various organisations which it manages in order to ensure the well-being of seniors (residences for seniors, clubs, workshops, care homes), is the pilot in various areas.

Caisse des Dépôts wanted to support the city of Bordeaux in the implementation of the Bordeaux Générations seniors project, which is structuring an action plan encouraging different generations of seniors, in order to promote well-being together and independence. It is mobilising its network of expertise and dedicated funding encouraging the project.

As an ageing population is a phenomenon leading to profound changes, the demographic transition is one of the strategic priorities of the Caisse des Dépôts group. In this context, Caisse des Dépôts is undertaking concrete commitments to cover the question of ageing in its entirety:

  • structuring the Silver économie sector;
  • contributing to the adapting effort of the rental network of social housing;
  • funding the construction and rehabilitation of specialised establishments for elderly people.

Caisse des Dépôts is also a partner of the 2nd edition of the Silver économie & habitat European conference organised by the city of Bordeaux and Cilogis on 28 October under the aegis of the European Institute for Health.
