The PIA, via Bpifrance, invests in Netatmo, a specialist of connected objects

On 5 November, Netatmo, a French company and a specialist of connected objects, announced a €30mn fund raising made in particular with Fonds ambition numérique, managed by Bpifrance within the framework of the Program of investments for the future (PIA).

The other traditional investors of Netatmo also contributed: Legrand, a specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, Iris Capital and Pascal Cagni, The President and founder of C4 Ventures. Frédéric Potter and the other founders of Netatmo remain majority shareholders.

This new fundraising aims to finance the growth of the company and allow it to continue its innovations in the world of the connected home. Netatmo is currently selling many products in Europe, the USA and Asia:

  • The weather station for smartphone, which measures the environment inside and outside the home in over 170 countries;
  • The thermostat for smartphone, which lets you save 37% energy on average;
  • Welcome, the smart camera with facial recognition technology.
