La résidence Aquisana à Serre Chevalier
This 400-bed tourism residence, run by Odalys and funded for the most part by institutional investors (Caisse des Dépôts and Compagnie des Alpes), means it is possible to market rooms that are occupied for at least twelve weeks of the year and meet the new quality standards expected by tour operators. The Serre Chevalier resort lost more than 2,000 beds on the tourist rental market between 2009 and 2016.

This operation rounds off the work already commenced by Foncière Rénovation Montagne (founded by Caisse des Dépôts, Compagnie des Alpes and banks) which is busy renovating resort rooms that remain empty for much of the year, and putting them back on the rental market.

The project is seeking to boost the local area's employment and economic development, with the tourism economy (the flagship industry of the Hautes-Alpes département) accounting for 20% of salaried employment.

More generally, Caisse des Dépôts is pledging to support the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (PACA) Region in implementing its Mountain plan, signed in 2016, particularly with respect to renovating tourist accommodation.
