A new spa complex and residential hotel at Santenay
Caisse des Dépôts’ participation in the funding of this €13mn investment amounts to €1.4mn of equity; it is thus reaffirming its role of investor in projects of interest to the general public as part of its action plan for enhancing regional tourist services, according to an announcement from the Interministerial Committee on 19 January 2018. The City of Santenay will provide finance amounting to €3mn for equipping the spa centre, which will restore its assets following the granting of a public service delegation.
After 25 years without, Santenay will once again be able to boast spa facilities at the foot of its internationally-renowned vineyards. The spa will be able to cater for 3,000 patients per year and will immediately create employment for 25 people.
Dijon Métropole’s TIGA Sustainable Food System project for 2030
On 8 March, François Rebsamen, president of Dijon Métropole, and Eric Lombard, CEO of Caisse des Dépôts, signed a protocol for financial support for the engineering of the Territoire d’innovation de grande ambition or TIGA (Region of Innovation and Grand Vision) project that forms part of the Programme d’investissements d’avenir or PIA (Programme of Investments for the Future), aimed at developing a sustainable food system for the region.
The project consists of encouraging the emergence of a sustainable food system which goes beyond conventional solutions involving short supply chains and ensures the sustainability of the entire regional food chain. The PIA3’s TIGA initiative is lending support for the engineering of the project up to a maximum figure of €400,000, whilst the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region is providing support up to a maximum figure of €200,000.
He visited the Synnov project at Villers-sous-Montrond. This plant, which gasifies waste from the construction sector, requires an investment of €32.5mn, €4.3mn of which are being made available in equity provided by Caisse des Dépôts. This funding is supplemented by a loan of €5.5mn from PIA and another of €1.5mn from Bpifrance.
Finally, in Besançon Eric Lombard was presented with a project for the refurbishment of Viotte station in the city centre, a scheme for 38,000 m² in total, the southern section of which is being supported by Caisse des Dépôts, comprising offices, accommodation, services, shops and car parks. This project, the total cost of which is €44mn, in which Caisse des Dépôts is investing €2.24mn, constitutes an exemplary partnership between the state, the City of Besançon and Caisse des Dépôts.
