On 10 December the first cleanroom production training school Ease (European aseptic and sterile environment), located in Illkirch-Graffenstaden near Strasbourg, was inaugurated. This project, led by the University of Strasbourg*, was financed by the Work-linked Training component of Programme d'investissements d'avenir (PIA) via Banque des Territoires.
On 25 September, Banque des Territoires, the Program of Investments for the Future (French acronym: PIA) through its City of Tomorrow action (Ville de demain) and the Idec Group signed their participation in the €1.3mn capital increase by Amme to support the development of the Fludis® project: ensuring last mile delivery via a warehouse boat and electric vehicles carrying pallets.
On 1 June during the Association des petites villes de France (APVF) conference in Autun, Eric Lombard, Chief Executive Officer of Caisse des Dépôts, signed the annual agreement between Caisse des Dépôts and APVF. He then participated in the laying of the first stone of Campus Mecateam, dedicated to the maintenance of railway construction machinery in Montceau-les-Mines.
On 2 February in Saint-Affrique the inauguration of a residence for students from The Village, the school of animation and ambiance techniques (Emata), took place. The project benefits from a €900,000 financing under the Programme of Investments for the Future (Frenc acronym: PIA) and a €1.347mn social rental loan from savings funds out of a total amount of €2.687mn.
The higher education institutions of Paris-Saclay University, a global centre for training, research and innovation, launch an investment fund intended to favor the creation of technological and services start-ups. Paris-Saclay Seed Fund has just made its first closing for €50mn, in particular from Bpifrance via the National Seed Fund (French acronym: FNA) managed within the framework of the Program of Investments for the Future (PIA).
On 8 December, Iform Food of Excellence Center was inaugurated in Coutances. It is the last step of Iform modernization project, the works of rehabilitation and layout of which amounted to €5mn. 70% were financed by the Normandy Region, 20% by CMA50* and 10% by the Program of Investments for the Future (PIA) managed by Caisse des Dépôts on behalf of the French State.
The Alter&Toit junior residence was inaugurated on 18 November in Thurot ecodistrict in Haguenau in Alsace. This residence includes 104 housing units intended for the apprentices and for the trainees, among which 94 studios financed by the Program of investments for the future (PIA) and by loans on savings funds from Caisse des Dépôts.
On 14 October, Eurometropole de Strasbourg and Caisse des Dépôts signed with the project leaders the local agreement for the tranche 2 (2016-2020) of the Program of Investments for the Future (PIA) City of Tomorrow (VDD) concerning the Ecocity in Strasbourg. PIA supports for a total amount of €4.2mn eight actions in the service of sustainable development and of the energy transition on the metropolitan territory.
