On 10 December, the first tree was planted in Arsenal district. A former top place for civil and military industry, the 17-hectare Eco-district is part of Greater Paris. Icade will carry out the Naturessence programme, which will include 191 housing units, 44 of which will be intermediate and 21 social rental units.
Egis, the leader contractor in One* consortium, has been awarded the complete programme management contract for the two main sectors of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. This project will allow the transportation of river freight on large ships, thus shifting from road to waterway, with a significant reduction in CO 2 emissions.
On 14 November Greater Paris Metropolitis signed the first Gemapi (French acronym for Aquatic environment management and flood prevention) Aqua Loan in France with Banque des Territoires from Caisse des Dépôts. With a total amount of €54mn, it will enable the Metropolitan Area to mobilise financing to fight against flood risks.
On 5 November, Icade, Vinci Immobilier and Covivio inaugurated the Quai 8.2 property complex in the heart of the Bordeaux Euratlantique business district, thus participating in a Project of National Signifiance (French acronym : OIN) to create new urban centrality and ensure Bordeaux’s place among Europe’s most appealing cities.
Egis, with Lavigne-Chéron Architects agency, won the project management competition for the Fond Lahayé viaduct, launched by the Martinique Territorial Authority. A spectacular suspended bridge with a 386 metre span, the first link in the process of opening up the island's northern coast.
On 6 November, CDC Habitat announced its acquisition of a 40% stake in the capital of Société d'économie mixte immobilière de Vichy (Semiv). This new partnership will enable Semiv to invest €70mn to increase the supply of social housing units in Vichy and revitalise its city centre by 2030.
On 5 November, Banque des Territoires and the city of Sceaux (Hauts-de-Seine) signed the first Edu loan in Ile-de-France for an amount of €2.5mn. It will finance the construction of a nursery as well as the reconstruction of the public library and a gymnasium.
Gaz Electricité de Grenoble (GEG) and Banque des Territoires signed an investment protocol on 23 October, under which Banque des Territoires will contribute up to an additional €9.25mn to help GEG ENeR carry out its renewable energy projects.
