Grand Paris Express: 3 new names of tunnel boring machines revealed!
Three new tunnel boring machines have just been inaugurated on 5 February: Bantan and Inès, which will dig the future line 16 of the Greater Paris metro, and Dorine, line 17. Egis is in charge of the complete project management of the infrastructure (with Tractebel) and systems (with Setec) for the future line 16. On line 17, Egis is the project manager with Setec for the system part.

Egis: having ships sailing on the Seine-Nord Europe Canal
Egis, the leader contractor in One* consortium, has been awarded the complete programme management contract for the two main sectors of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. This project will allow the transportation of river freight on large ships, thus shifting from road to waterway, with a significant reduction in CO 2 emissions.

Egis: the Fond Lahayé viaduct, a spectacular suspended bridge in Martinique
Egis, with Lavigne-Chéron Architects agency, won the project management competition for the Fond Lahayé viaduct, launched by the Martinique Territorial Authority. A spectacular suspended bridge with a 386 metre span, the first link in the process of opening up the island's northern coast.

Egis: environmental and technical challenges to be met in French Guiana
Egis has won the project management contract for the Larivot bridge that will cross the Cayenne River between Macouria and Matoury in French Guiana. The infrastructure will be exceptional both in terms of its size (1,312 m long) and its environmental setting (in a remarkable natural site near the Atlantic Ocean). Great environmental and technical challenges to be met!

The new Caen la Mer tramway: a technical first!
On 27 July, the new tramway in Caen la Mer was inaugurated after 15 months of work. Egis was the delegated project manager for this exceptional operation, which enabled the transformation of the existing old tyre tramway into a rail tramway. A technical first in France!

Icade involved in the building of France's first low-carbon district
Icade is part of the group* that won the Inventer Bruneseau call for projects organized by the City of Paris and Semapa. Called Nouvel R, this project, which will cover nearly 100,000 m², will create a real link between Paris and Ivry-sur-Seine and the first low-carbon district in France.

Tramway: success for Egis, in Saint-Etienne and Nice
On 28 June, the first infrastructure works for the extension of the third line of the Saint-Etienne tramway were launched, and on 30 June the first section of the new Nice tramway lines was inaugurated and put into service. Both a success for Egis!

The Symbiose project winner of Inventons la Métropole du Grand Paris call for projects
The Symbiose project, represented by the Sogaris consortium, with Poste Immo and Icade, has been designated winner of Inventons la Métropole du Grand Paris call for Projects on the Bercy-Charenton site. A multidisciplinary team of over 40 partners, including Egis, CDC Biodiversité, architects Marc Mimram and Enia, the landscape architect Colocco and Cycle Up, has been created.
