Egis, the leader contractor in One* consortium, has been awarded the complete programme management contract for the two main sectors of the Seine-Nord Europe Canal. This project will allow the transportation of river freight on large ships, thus shifting from road to waterway, with a significant reduction in CO 2 emissions.
Egis, with Lavigne-Chéron Architects agency, won the project management competition for the Fond Lahayé viaduct, launched by the Martinique Territorial Authority. A spectacular suspended bridge with a 386 metre span, the first link in the process of opening up the island's northern coast.
Egis has won the project management contract for the Larivot bridge that will cross the Cayenne River between Macouria and Matoury in French Guiana. The infrastructure will be exceptional both in terms of its size (1,312 m long) and its environmental setting (in a remarkable natural site near the Atlantic Ocean). On 2 July, Transpolis, the first " scale 1 real fake city " in France, was inaugurated in Saint Maurice de Remens, in the Ain département. Banque des Territoires is participating in SAS Transpolis' €1.4mn capital increase and is thus helping to structure the financing of this facility.
On 9 July, the foundation stone of the Urban Logistics Hotel (French acronym: HLU) was laid in Port Edouard Herriot in Lyon. Banque des Territoires, alongside Lyon Parc Auto, Poste Immo and SERL, is part of the consortium that won the call for projects launched by Compagnie nationale du Rhône (CNR) for the construction of the HLU.
On 27 July, the new tramway in Caen la Mer was inaugurated after 15 months of work. Egis was the delegated project manager for this exceptional operation, which enabled the transformation of the existing old tyre tramway into a rail tramway. A technical first in France!
