A long-standing player of cities, the Caisse des Dépôts group intends to become the key partner of smart cities. The public body and its subsidiaries are developing their know-how in this field. The smart city builds on digital technology and innovation to meet the urban challenges sustainably.
Minatec Competence Centre Building was inaugurated on 7 October in Grenoble. On a total investment of €17mn, Caisse des Dépôts invested €1.83mn, representing 49.9% of the stockholders' equity of SCI BCC Presqu’île, along with Foncière Malherbe Claudel, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole. The balance of the investment (€13.4mn) was financed by a bank loan 50-50% by Bpifrance and Crédit Agricole.
On 4 November, Icade inaugurated The House of Start-ups, a 800m2 place completely dedicated to innovation and to the start-up companies (services, practices, connectivity) within 107 building in Parc des Portes de Paris. The purpose: anticipating and adapting Icade real estate supply to the great challenges of society and to the irruption of the digital technology.
