On 11 April, the French Development Agency (French acronym: AFD) presented the key figures for the 2017 activity of the public institution, which, with €10.4bn in commitments, is continuing its growth, with an 11% increase in one year and a 25% increase over the last two years.
On 12 April Bpifrance and Caisse nationale de l'assurance maladie (Cnam) entered into a partnership to identify French start-ups that are developing innovative solutions and products that meet the health challenges of the French population. They can be supported by €50mn Patient Autonome Fund.
The new Espace de santé (Care Home) in Roanne, scheduled to open on 23 April, was inaugurated on 7 April. Caisse des Dépôts supported this medical home by investing 46% in SCI Espace Santé for an amount of nearly €550,000 in equity.
On 29 March Icade Santé announced its first investment in Etablissements d'hébergement pour personnes âgées dépendantes (EHPAD): the acquisition of 14 health centers for dependent elderly worth €189mn from Réseau Residalya, a subsidiary of the Ackermans & van Haaren group. Residalya is also the operator of these EHPADs.
On 3 March in Viriat an intergenerational residence labelled Habitat Intégré Service Solidaire Regroupé (Haissor) was inaugurated. It consists of 16 apartments, including 7 classic apartments for young families and 9 adapted for the elderly. Caisse des Dépôts supported this project with a loan of €1,281,000.
On 6 February Caisse des Dépôts and Tournus Hospital Centre signed savings fund loans totalling €4.8mn over 35 years for the extension of the Etablissement d'hébergement pour personnes âgées dépendantes (Ehpad). The total investment amounts to €9.2mn.
On 2 February The Etablissement d'hébergement pour personnes âgées dépendantes (Ehpad) of Chamboulive in Corrèze was inaugurated after renovation works. The cost of these works amounted to €1.8mn, of which the municipality financed €1.15mn via a loan on savings funds from Caisse des Dépôts.
