On 29 June Fonds national d'amorçage 2, managed by Bpifrance on behalf of the French State within the framework of the Programme of investments for the future (French acronym: PIA), participated in the launch, by Université Paris sciences et lettres (PSL) and Elaia Partners, of PSL Innovation Fund, a seed fund with a target size of €75mn dedicated to deep tech start-ups.
Sixteen projects were short-listed within the framework of the call for projects for Transformation Architecture launched on 18 September by Pierre-René Lemas, the CEO of the Caisse des Dépôts Group, and Frédéric Paul, the CEO of USH 1 , in the presence of Fleur Pellerin, the Minister of Culture and Communication.
On 13 October, Institut Mines-Télécom and France Brevets, a French public investment fund specialized in patents, signed an extension of the partnership agreement which has linked them since 2011 to three new research areas, asserting so their commitment about 5G* technology.
On 26 January, Jean-Marc Jeltsch, the Vice-Chairman of the University of Strasbourg, and Gil Vauquelin, the Caisse des Dépôts Alsace Regional Manager, acting on its behalf and for the State, signed the partnership agreement to support the projects of Pepite-Etena.
The Pepite Champagne-Ardenne agreement between Caisse des Dépôts and Carinna innovation agency was signed on 30 January in the presence of more than 60 players from the public-private student entrepreneurship sector, in the premises of Champagne-Ardenne Regional Council.
On 6 July, Catherine Vautrin, the President of Reims Métropole and of France University Cities Association, launched the multiservice card which provides access to the different services concerning student life, including the payment of public transport operated by Transdev. Caisse des Dépôts facilitated the setting of this innovation.
